Court of Protection
Kayleigh qualified as a Solicitor in the Court of Protection Department in 2017, having built up a wealth of pre-qualification experience in Mental Capacity Law, managing the affairs of vulnerable people and supporting the litigation process since 2009. She has extensive experience in managing the property and financial affairs of clients who are unable to do so themselves, particularly where there is a Professional Deputy or Trustee appointed to manage multi million pound damages settlements in a personal injury or clinical negligence claims.
Kayleigh is responsible for the day to day management of property, investments, welfare benefits, vehicle requirements, therapy, employment of carers and all other issues clients may face. She has been instructed on Statutory Will and gift applications and has advised on applications to appoint Lay Deputies where a professional is not required. She takes pride in her ability to build a rapport with vulnerable clients and their families to better understand their needs and how to meet them.
A keen kitesurfer, Kayleigh also enjoys similar extreme sports.
