Associate Solicitor Manchester Family
Clare qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and worked with Beth Wilkins at Pannone in Manchester. She moved to JMW in November 2011. Clare advises on all aspects of relationship breakdown, including divorce, financial settlements on divorce, cohabitation disputes and issues relating to children and domestic abuse. Clare’s priority is to give clear, pragmatic and commercially sensible advice, while never losing sight of the personal dimension of a family dispute.
She has a particular interest in academic writing and has produced numerous articles for Family Law Journal, Family Law Week and the Resolution Review. She has written extensively for the online practitioner guide, LexisPSL. Clare also co-wrote the Butterworths New Law Guide, Guide to the Family Procedure Rules, which was published in May 2011, and co-wrote the 2014 update of the publication. Clare has also given lectures to other professionals.
Clare has been recognised in legal directory, Chambers and Partners 2015, as 'quickly building a reputation as a strong technical lawyer, with sources singling out her intellect and encyclopaedic brain'. Most recently Chambers described her as a "very good and super-bright" family law expert.
Clare acted for the wife in the high net worth divorce case, SK v TK EWHC 834.
