What are the risks of the leak?
Private information and personal data have been disclosed without customers’ permission.
Clearly, people whose details have been stolen could be at risk of identity theft and online fraud. They may have received unwanted calls or experienced unusual activity on their bank accounts.
It is possible that some people may have suffered financial loss as a result of the leak.
Can you make a legal claim?
Did you open a Premier Lloyds account between 2006 and 2012?
Have you received written notification that your information was taken?
Have you suffered any upset or distress as a result of the leak?
Subject to the circumstances of your case, you may have a legal claim for compensation and other legal remedies.
JMW deal with data leak cases on a day to day basis.
We have been involved in many high profile cases and helped victims of data leaks to recover substantial damages and secure other legal remedies.
For example, JMW are currently acting on behalf of over 5000 past and present employees of the retailer Morrisons whose data was stolen by a former colleague (and who was later jailed for the crime). The employees’’ claim is due to go to trial this year.
Is there an upfront cost?
No. In the case of serious data leak incidents, JMW will look at 'No Win, No Fee' arrangements and consider other funding options.
