Wills & Estate Planning News

Press Releases

An increasing number of middle-aged parents have declared that they would rather die than see excessive care home fees eat into their children’s inheritance finds JMW.

Elaine Roche, partner at JMW states a surge in demand for ‘living wills’ has resulted in people planning to refuse life-prolonging care in the event of becoming seriously ill being treated against their wishes.

Research by JMW found that individuals who died without making a will or having any heirs left estates worth £15.4 million in 2014, down from £38.5 million in 2012.
