Hojol Uddin and Elisha Kaur successfully defended a client facing five charges ranging from careless driving, speeding and failure to give information on three separate occasions. Following a late instruction from Mr M, Hojol Uddin discussed matters with the individual and advised him the charges due to the evidence against him including his admission to the officers at the scene that he fell asleep at the wheel resulting in the collision. JMW Solicitors were then instructed to advise and assist Mr M at his hearing which was to take place within 48 hours. A day before the hearing, JMW Solicitors were able to gather all supporting material which was to be provided to the Court at the hearing.

Mr M’s main concern was the risk of being disqualified from driving due to the detrimental impact disqualification would have on him and his employment. The client resulted in receiving only 11 penalty points, a fine and victim surcharge for all offences he faced.  Initially a disqualifications ranging between 6-12 months was avoided.
