To enable us to deliver the right outcomes to our clients, with a commercial edge, we need effective and efficient Paralegals who can support our qualified fee earners on matters.
In this role you will be required to assist with and undertake predominantly plot sales acting for small and medium sized developers.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a number of different Lawyers and clients within our Real Estate Commercial team. Established in 1978 and as one of the north west’s biggest commercial property teams, we provide a comprehensive range of real estate services across all disciplines having been traditionally known for our development expertise. Our wider real estate practice in Manchester now boasts over 132 fee earners.

Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing and sending contract packs and data rooms for new developments
- Replying to enquiries and liaising with agents and clients to keep them fully apprised
- Drafting contracts, transfers and deeds of covenants
- Dealing with part exchange properties
- Post completion activities
- Basic conveyancing tasks
- Ensure compliance with JMW’s internal policies and guidelines
- Any other duties within the scope of responsibility and ability, as required.
This role will be office based initially, with hybrid options available once you have settled in with the team.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
Ideally, you will have some experience in acting for developers and dealing with conveyancing matters. You will also be ambitious and enthusiastic, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional requirements include:
- Excellent IT skills particularly with experience in Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing, including dealing directly with clients when required
- Ability to work well under pressure and be proactive.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A wider knowledge of the law and practices applicable to the department/area of specialism would be beneficial.
