JMW Solicitors are seeking an experienced and motivated Solicitor with 2-5 years’ PQE to join our successful and growing Personal Injury team.

The Department

Each year, JMW’s Personal Injury department secures millions of pounds in compensation for clients across the UK by taking positive action on their behalf and presenting the strongest possible case.

Over decades of success, the department has received recognition from numerous legal institutions, including top tier rankings in both the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners in 2024 for Claimant personal injury work.  We continue to provide expert advice on the full spectrum of Personal Injury claims from relatively minor to catastrophic injury claims and have specialist teams dealing with for example cycling, military, industrial disease, cross border and catastrophic injury claims.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will have the opportunity to run an existing caseload made up of employers' liability and public liability (EL/PL) claims. Your other responsibilities will include:

  • assisting on higher valued cases.
  • financial management of cases and archiving.
  • taking responsibility for personal development and CPD training requirements.
  • keeping up to date with developments in law and procedure.
  • raising the profile of the team by attending relevant events and through engagement on social media.
  • supervision of more junior fee earners may be required, depending on your level of experience.

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be a Qualified Solicitor with 2-5 years’ post qualification experience (PQE). You should also be able to demonstrate: 

  • experience of EL/PL claims work.
  • good working knowledge of relevant law and procedure.
  • legal analysis and research skills
  • business development/marketing/networking experience, including the use of social media to support your role.
