Trainee Solicitor Manchester Trainee Solicitors
Andrew joined JMW in March 2018 and spent two years as a Paralegal in the Business Crime and Regulatory and the Risk and Compliance departments, before starting his Training Contract in September 2020.
Andrew graduated from the University of Leicester in July 2017 with a First Class degree in Law and Criminology before completing his Legal Practice Course in July 2020, attaining a Distinction.
While working in the Business Crime and Regulatory department, Andrew was part of the team representing David Duckenfield, the Match Day Commander on the day of the Hillsborough Disaster, during his criminal proceedings. Since joining the Risk and Compliance department, Andrew has assisted the head of compliance with a wide range of matters, including the firm’s applications for CQS and Lexcel accreditations, as well as day-to-day Anti-Money Laundering and Know Your Client queries.
Outside of work Andrew enjoys both playing and watching football, being a keen supporter of Burnley Football Club. He is also a member of MTSG and enjoys running, socialising with friends and travelling.
