Brigitta is an Associate with experience in a range of private Family law issues including divorce, financial remedies (including HNW individuals), child arrangements, cohabitation, schedule 1 proceedings, pre/post nuptial agreements, adoption orders, domestic abuse and personal protection, non-court dispute resolution, and post-settlement implementation and variation issues.

I obtained a First-Class Law with Business Degree from the University of Brighton and went on to undertake the LPC at the University of Law, Guildford.

• Advising in financial remedy proceedings (with net assets worth c£2.3M) involving a complex business structure necessitating specialist tax advice in relation to a possible demerger.
• Navigating financial remedy proceedings with related criminal proceedings, specifically a restraint order against the family home, and balancing the competing objectives of both courts, the Matrimonial Causes Act 1973, and the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.
• Advising in financial remedy proceedings involving a significant proportion of non-matrimonial wealth (80% of the net assets worth c£2.3M) in a short marriage (post the judgment in Standish).
• Successful application for the recognition of an overseas adoption order under the High Court’s inherent jurisdiction, including obtaining expert evidence to satisfy the domicile requirements set out in Re Valentine's Settlement.
• Advising in private children proceedings involving a parent with a history of severe substance abuse.

Outside of work I enjoy staying active by running and hiking and I love live music events and travelling.
