Grace joined JMW in 2018 and is a Senior Associate in the Family team.

Grace specialises in all areas of family law, with a particular focus on dealing with financial matters upon divorce and applications made by unmarried parents for financial provision for children under Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989 and advises on the following:-

  • Financial settlements (both in the court process and through non-court dispute resolution) involving complex business structures, property portfolios, assets in various jurisdictions, family trusts, pension sharing and inherited wealth.
  • Wealth protection by way of Pre and Post nuptial agreements.
  • Cohabitation and Separation agreements.
  • Negotiations (and court proceedings) concerning the ongoing arrangements and financial provision for the children of separated parents.

Grace has particular experience in and regularly works alongside high and ultra-high net worth individuals, particularly entrepreneurs and sports professionals. To secure the best outcome for her clients, Grace often works collaboratively with her client’s own team of professional advisors and also a variety of independent professionals such as forensic accountants and tax specialists.

Grace recognises the emotional impact that divorce and separation can have on clients, and that having a complex financial situation can often add to that stress. For this reason, Grace focuses on taking a pragmatic, sensible and strategic approach and delivers practical and straightforward advice to clients in a personable manner. She is committed to reaching a resolution without undue stress or unnecessary conflict and has been recognised for her attention to detail and ability to see the bigger picture on cases.

Grace is a member of Resolution and is on the YRes Manchester Committee. YRes Manchester is a network of family law professionals across Greater Manchester.

Outside of her practice, Grace is committed to and passionate about raising awareness of the need for professionals to prioritise their health through various fitness and wellbeing initiatives. Grace organises and hosts networking events which aim to combine the fitness and professional/legal communities both on behalf of the firm and in her role as Health and Wellbeing Director for the Manchester Young Lawyers group. Grace is also an ambassador for a boutique fitness studio franchise in their South Manchester location.
