Hateem joined JMW in July 2022 as Partner having practised immigration law for over 14 years at a number of leading London boutique immigration firms. His breadth of experience means that he can support clients navigate the entire spectrum of immigration issues. Hateem is in his element when advising individuals in relation to their personal immigration matters or companies/founders about how best to utilise the existing immigration rules to achieve their goals.

Hateem clients range from U/HNW’s, CEO’s, Senior Executives, SME’s and Large Corporates, Financial Institutions, Celebrities, Athletes, Diplomats and members of foreign Royal Families. 

Hateem’s fluency in both personal and corporate immigration law means he can devise tailored strategies for his clients no matter how complicated a case may seem.

Hateem has developed longstanding relationships with a number of his clients and has become a trusted adviser to them. Hateem often helps to facilitate his client’s projects in the UK working closely alongside other JMW departments and team members to deliver a seamless and comprehensive service.

Hateem has significant network in the Middle East which has seen him deliver immigration seminars across the region both in Arabic & English. 

Hateem’s recent experience includes:

  • Representing the interests of significant real estate asset management company based in the UAE in relation to their activities in the UK including visas for their key employees to work in the UK.
  • Helping a luxury perfumes brand acquire premises in Knightsbridge and establish their flagship UK presence and transfer key team members to the UK. 
  • Representing a UK financial services company that had acquired an arm of a well-known financial institution and assisting with the transfer of the sponsored employees’ visas to the new employer.
  • Overturning a number of suspensions and proposed revocations of Sponsor Licences by the Home Office.
  • Supporting a group of investors who had been defrauded in relation to their Investor visas and making representations to the Home Office on their behalf so that they and their families could continue to remain lawfully in the UK.
  • Representing a well-known premier league footballer with a complicated case and helping him obtain Indefinite Leave to Remain.
  • Successfully representing clients over the years before the Immigration Tribunal ensuring that children adopted overseas were able to join their families in the UK.
