Joanna has over 20 years’ experience in family law. She provides clear, practical, strategic advice whilst supporting her clients through often complex and emotional situations.

Joanna’s clients are based in the UK and abroad, often with substantial assets. She advises on all areas of private family law, including divorce, judicial separation, financial settlements, cohabitation claims, and children matters including international relocation and surrogacy.

A significant part of Joanna’s practice is advising on pre and post-nuptial agreements as a financial planning tool. She is regularly instructed by high-net-worth clients on complex arrangements involving substantial international assets, trusts and intricate family wealth structures. She recognises the dynamics involved in negotiating nuptial agreements and works carefully to ensure that negotiations remain constructive and amicable, whilst securing robust protection for her clients’ interests and long-term financial positions.

Joanna aims to achieve swift, practical and cost-effective resolutions where possible. Her cases often settle out of court, and she provides strong representation when court proceedings are required. Joanna is a collaboratively trained lawyer.

Joanna has lectured at the University of Rwanda and regularly delivers seminars to other professionals. She has been published in Ham and High newspaper, ThoughtLeaders4 HNW Divorce Magazine and the STEP journal and has commented in The Guardian.
