Kara joined JMW’s London office in February 2023 as a paralegal in the Intellectual Property team and started her training contract with the firm in September 2024.

At JMW, Kara has worked on both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters involving trade marks, copyright, passing off, patents and design rights. Kara has also had experience working on matters involving both IPEC and High Court litigation.

Before joining JMW, Kara worked at Warner Bros. Entertainment where she was the sole intern in the Anti-Piracy and Enforcement team.

Kara completed the Legal Practice Course with Masters (LPC LLM) at The University of Law, where she achieved a Distinction grade. Kara also graduated from the University of Leicester with a first class Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with Honours degree. During her academic studies, she was involved in pro bono initiatives including the Legal Advice Clinic, where she advised local members of the community.

In her spare time, Kara enjoys playing netball and spending time with family and friends.
