Lara joined JMW is September 2023 as a Paralegal in the Family Department, before commencing her Solicitor Apprenticeship in September 2025.

During her time in the Family Department, Lara has gained a range of experience including:

• Divorce and associated financial matters;
• Asset protection work, including pre- and post-nuptial agreements;
• International cases involving multiple jurisdictions, including forum disputes;
• Child arrangement disputes; and
• Hague Convention child abduction proceedings.

Lara has had particular exposure to complex matrimonial finance matters involving trusts, corporate structures and substantial family wealth and is experienced in working with HNW and UHNW clients, family offices and professional trustees.

Lara graduated from the University of Leeds in 2023 with a First-Class LLB (Hons) Law Degree. She is currently studying for the Solicitors Qualifying Exam (SQE) alongside working.

In her free time, Lara enjoys running and long walks in the Peak District with her dog. She also loves to spend time with her friends, and they enjoy travelling together.

• A v Z [2026] EWHC 654 (Fam) - Acted for the wife in a case involving assets of circa £170 million (the majority of which had been built up by her family), a contested prenuptial agreement and share transfers within valuable private companies. The High Court endorsed the client’s ‘needs’ arguments, the husband was awarded circa £13 million and most of the substantial wealth was protected.
