Lauren is a Trainee Solicitor in JMW's Family Law team with almost 6 years’ experience supporting clients through complex family law matters. She has developed experience assisting on divorce and financial remedy proceedings, particularly those involving substantial or internationally held assets, as well as private children matters and protective injunctions.
Lauren has a particular interest and growing expertise in cases involving the non-disclosure of assets during divorce proceedings. She works closely with clients to identify concerns surrounding hidden or undisclosed assets and adopts a pragmatic, meticulous approach to securing disclosure.
Lauren's experience includes advising and assisting with:
- Divorce and financial remedy proceedings, including cases involving international assets and complex financial arrangements.
- Pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements.
- Child Arrangements Orders, Specific Issue Orders, Prohibited Steps Orders, Barring Orders and other private children matters.
Prior to joining JMW in 2024, Lauren gained experience as a Paralegal advising parents in public and private children matters and Non-Molestation Order proceedings. She also has advocacy experience supporting both Junior and King's Counsel in complex, multi-day hearings including before the Royal Courts of Justice and has represented clients herself.
Throughout her career, Lauren has also worked alongside the Official Solicitor, intermediaries and a range of expert witnesses. She has also built strong relationships with domestic abuse organisations, hosting drop-in advice sessions and providing support.
