Mark was initially called to the Bar in 2008 and cross qualified as a solicitor in 2012. Mark was a Partner and Head of Family at a boutique firm in Paddington before joining JMW in November 2022.
Mark is known for being relentlessly committed to his clients and a real pragmatist when it comes to resolving a range of Family Law issues. He is an all-rounder and advises on a range of issues, including divorce, complex high net worth matrimonial finance proceedings and private law children disputes; he is adept in drafting marital agreements involving substantial and high value assets. Mark is recognised as a key lawyer in the Legal 500 directory which recognises Mark as “not only an exceptional legal professional who upholds the highest standards of integrity for his clients and himself but Mark is also a world-class innovator and strategist” [Legal 500 2023].
Mark separately heads our London Modern Families team and is able to offer niche advice and guidance to same sex parents, couples who have used donors (including surrogacy arrangements) adoptive parents and foster parents and works closely with our firm`s immigration team to offer a rounded service.
Mark is a volunteer for a number of schemes including the Royal Courts of Justice CAB scheme and operates a support service at St Mary`s Church in Monken Hadley ( Hadley Wood- Barnet). Mark sits on the Resolution Collaborative Law committee and is keen promoter of trying to settle disputes outside of the Court arena saving on both financial and emotional costs of litigation.
In his spare time, Mark is a `family man` and enjoys spending time with his children. He is a keen runner and has taken part in the Marathon de Paris and the Berlin Marathon.
