Pearse joined JMW’s Lawshare department in 2019 before commencing a training contract in 2022. He qualified into the firm’s Restructuring & Insolvency department as a solicitor in September 2024.
Pearse deals with a wide range of corporate and personal insolvency matters including:
- Advising office holders on potential claims against directors including recovery of DLA balances and breach of duties;
- Advising office holders in relation to antecedent transactions and suggesting appropriate methods of recovery;
- Drafting statutory demands, winding up petitions and bankruptcy petitions;
- Preparing court applications including possession and sale, block transfers and extensions to administration periods;
- All types of distressed business and asset sales and purchases; and
- Disposal of real property on behalf of office holders, particularly involving complex title issue.
With a background in the competitive retail sector, Pearse possesses both commercial nous and managerial experience.
Having honed his business development skills during his time in the Lawshare team, Pearse is a keen networker and can often be found at events representing the JMW brand as a whole
