Riaz joined JMW initially as a Property Litigation Paralegal in August 2023. Over the course of a year, Riaz gained exposure to a variety of property litigation matters, including: (i) landlord and tenant disputes; (ii) lease disputes; and (iii) contentious wills matters.
Riaz subsequently moved into JMW’s Professional Misconduct team in August 2024 and has since commenced his first seat as an Apprentice Solicitor within that team. Riaz regularly acts on behalf of serving police officers in regulatory, criminal and inquisitorial proceedings. Riaz has assisted in matters concerning allegations of improper use of force, motoring offences, and sexual assault.
Throughout Riaz’s breadth of experiences, he has attended Gross Misconduct Hearings, the Coroner’s Court, the High Court (Chancery Division and Administrative Court) and the Court of Appeal.
