Tom Joined JMW in May 2023 as a Solicitor in the Restructuring & Insolvency Team.
Tom has experience in a wide range of corporate and personal insolvency matters, including:
- Advising office holders and directors in connection with claims such as the recovery of DLA balances, transactions at an undervalue, preferences and breach of duties;
- Advising on and defending director disqualification proceedings;
- Advising lenders and appointed receivers in respect of security positions and enforcement options;
- Preparing court applications including possession and sale, fixing the basis of office holder remuneration
Tom graduated from the University of Central Lancashire with a 2.1 in his LLB in 2015 and completed his LPC there the following year. Tom worked as a paralegal at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer before training and qualifying at a niche commercial law firm in Manchester.
Outside of work Tom is an avid season ticket holder at Burnley FC and enjoys watching films and all things sport.
