Will is a Partner in the Manchester office, and joined JMW in April 2021 in the Real Estate Commercial Department.

Will lives with his wife and two young boys in Todmorden, West Yorkshire and commutes to the JMW Manchester office as part of the Real Estate Commercial team.

He is experienced in a wide variety of property matters, but more recently has been engaged on sales and acquisitions of investment properties (which are both tenanted and development opportunities).

Will is usually involved with a number of large projects, which often are Corporate support matters or complex property transactions involving conditionality and funding to achieve his client's required outcome. Alongside this, Will and his team run multiple Landlord and Tenant matters and we pride ourselves on being able to turn around these deals to tight deadlines.

Will is noted as a Key Lawyer in the Legal 500 and the REC department is listed as Tier 2.

• Northhold Group – Will has acted for Northhold on various development lifecycles involving acquisitions, refinances and lettings to various retailers before acting on the exit from these developments to investors. He led on the acquisition of Milburngate, Durham and also in respect of a portfolio of properties from a well-known high-street occupier with simultaneous sub-sale exits for many of these.
• Blueoak Estates – Will acts on multiple large acquisitions for this developer, more recently the acquisition of Sale Point and Charterhall. Two large development opportunities secured by Blueoak for high-class residential apartments.
• Victorian Plumbing plc – general estate management and corporate support including assisting on their acquisition of the transportation business Sovereign Transport.
• Costa Coffee – Prior to joining JMW, Will was the primary point of contact for all property-related Costa estate matters in England and Wales. He managed a large team to deal with day-to-day conduct of the Costa estate. He also dealt with a large number of new Drive-thru acquisitions alongside this busy and varied role.

Outside work, Will is a keen mountain biker and often races in downhill enduro events. He also loves hiking and does this with his family in the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District as often as will allow.
