Senior Associate Solicitor Manchester Commercial Litigation
Holly’s work includes advising on professional negligence disputes, claims arising out of company insolvency and bankruptcy, breach of directors’ duties and urgent applications for injunctive relief.
She also plays a key role in assisting with large, complex pieces of litigation which include defending a claim for £20 million in the Companies Court, a claim for £1.2 million for breach of contract or unjust enrichment which is being litigated in the Court of Appeal, and assisting insolvency practitioners with the recovery of £9 million owed to customers of a failed foreign exchange company.
Holly spent the earlier part of her legal career acting for the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy in bringing disqualification proceedings against company directors, as well as winding up companies in the public interest.
Clients describe Holly as passionate, hardworking and accustomed to taking a forensic approach to matters, recognising that many cases are won by focusing on the detail.
After spending six years working as a radio broadcast journalist and presenter, Holly completed the Graduate Diploma in Law in 2009 and then the LPC in 2010, subsequently achieving a qualifying first class law degree at Nottingham Law School.
