Mark is a partner in JMW’s corporate team, specialising in advising on a wide range of corporate matters, including: acquisitions and disposals, MBO’s, employee ownership trusts, joint ventures, private equity and investment structures, share option schemes, re-structuring, refinancing and corporate governance matters.
Over Mark’s career he has built up a strong client base, acting on behalf of private investors, entrepreneurs, owner-managed businesses and companies across a variety of sectors within the Northwest region.
Recent highlights include:
- Advising the sellers on the sale of Handepay and Merchant Rentals to PayPoint Plc for £70m.
- Advising the sellers on the sale of Healthwork to Marlowe Plc for £17m.
- Advising ADT Workplace on its transition to Employee Ownership.
- Advising a PE backed financial services company on multiple acquisitions as part of a buy and build strategy.
- Advising Samson VTI on a $5m seed investment.
- Acting on behalf of the company in relation to a complex restructure and capital reduction demerger of a group of companies with a total asset value of £55m.
Background
Mark studied Law at Manchester Metropolitan University. Mark joined JMW in March 2014, moving from Manchester based corporate firm LLM.
