Arbitration under LLP Agreement

We represented a former member of a professional services firm in an arbitration conducted under the LCIA rules, arising from a dispute under a Limited Liability Partnership Agreement. The case concerned our client’s removal from the partnership without good grounds or any proper procedure being adopted, in breach of the terms of the agreement.  Our client maintained that the firm’s conduct resulted in financial loss and reputational harm.  We pursued the claim, with determination, through arbitration to recover the drawings and capital to which our client was entitled and prepared thoroughly for the arbitration hearing.  Shortly before the hearing, a settlement offer was made that delivered a strong outcome for our client and included the recovery of costs, reflecting the strength of our position and the persistence with which we advanced the case.  Our client was very pleased with the result and the support we provided throughout.
