The Opportunity
We have a new vacancy for up to two Paralegals to join our award-winning and leading Business Crime & Regulatory team, based in our Manchester head office.
This is an exciting opportunity to join our top-ranked Business Crime & Regulatory team. You will work alongside our specialist and highly regarded lawyers who specialise in the areas of Corporate Compliance, Investigations and Prosecutions, Business Crime, Serious and Complex Crime, Professional Discipline and Regulation, and Motoring.
The role will involve providing support to the team’s fee earners as required, including interacting with clients, carrying out research, preparing for court cases, and attendance at court, while working on some of the biggest investigations and prosecutions across the country. This will be a great opportunity for the successful applicants to learn from our highly experienced lawyers and develop your legal acumen.
Applicants should be able to build positive professional relationships with clients, experts, counsel and other legal professionals, and have a high degree of critical thinking skills and excellent time management.

Skills and Experience Required
We’re looking for a Paralegal preferably with experience in this area of law, although are open to candidates with no previous experience if they show the right attributes.
To be successful in this role you should also be able to:
- Demonstrate a knowledge of criminal law, practices and procedures, including the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE) and show a keenness to continue learning and development;
- Have an understanding of the procedure and requirements to prepare cases at all levels in connection with both criminal and regulatory law issues;
- Police Station Accreditation is not essential but would be advantageous;
- The ability to work collaboratively and become a key team player;
- Proficient use of legal software, tools and case management systems;
- Show commercial awareness and contribute to the teams targets;
- Use your time productively, effectively and efficiently to make the best of your own skills, knowledge and experience;
- Work proactively, strive to deliver high standards and aim for excellence in your work.
