Athene joined JMW in January 2024 as a Solicitor in the Commercial department, having previously completed her training with a specialist media law firm in London and Brussels.
Athene advises on a range of commercial matters and has experience in commercial, data protection and intellectual property work, with a particular focus on the media and entertainment sector.
Athene has spent valuable time in-house on secondment to one of the world’s leading quick service restaurant chains, and prior to joining JMW, as Junior Legal Counsel in a respected TV production company. As a result, Athene has a clear understanding of the commercial drivers influencing clients as well as the demands placed on in-house lawyers, and uses this insight to provide clear, considered, and pragmatic advice.
Athene graduated from the University of York with a degree in Music, before completing her Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course with the University of Law.
Outside of work, Athene enjoys music, yoga, and travelling.
