Athene joined JMW in January 2024 as a Solicitor in the Commercial department.
Athene advises on a range of commercial matters and has experience in commercial, data and intellectual property work, with a particular focus on the media and entertainment sector.
Athene completed her training contract with a specialist media law firm in London and Brussels, and has spent time in-house as Junior Legal Counsel at a London and LA-based film and TV production company. As a result, Athene has developed an understanding of the various pressures businesses are facing day-to-day and uses this insight to inform a pragmatic, commercial approach to her work.
Athene originally graduated from the University of York with a degree in Music, before converting to law via the Graduate Diploma in Law in Bristol, and the Legal Practice Course in London.
Outside of work, Athene continues to pursue her passion for music by playing in various chamber ensembles with friends, as well as devoting time to her various other pursuits including yoga, running, and rock climbing.
