Georgie joined JMW in September 2022 as a Trainee Solicitor and qualified into JMW’s Intellectual Property & Commercial team in October 2024.
Georgie has a broad commercial practice, advising on the full range of agreements that drive and support businesses. Her work spans from drafting standard form contracts to drafting and negotiating complex bespoke arrangements aligned with her clients’ strategic objectives.
She has particular experience in advising businesses looking to expand in the UK and new global markets, particularly through franchising, distribution and licensing.
Georgie is also part of the Sports Team, advising on a range of sports-related commercial matters. She gained first-hand industry experience during her secondment at a Premier League Football Club, where she advised the Club on commercial contracts and intellectual property.
Before joining JMW, Georgie spent 12 months as a Junior Legal Advisor at Jacobs Douwe Egberts in both the UK and France. This inn-house experience gave her a strong understanding of client priorities and underpins her pragmatic and commercially focused approach.

Co-Lead, JMW’s In-House Lawyers Network. Established JMW’s In-House Lawyers Network alongside John Burns (Head of Intellectual Property and Commercial, Partner) and Richard Parkinson (Partner). Organising quarterly lunches for in house lawyers with a guest speaker. Past guest speakers include Stephen Butchard (Acclaimed Writer - best known for 'This City is Ours') and Peter Cowgill (Former Chairman of JD Sports and Co-Founder of Cowgills).
