JMW Advises “Desperate Scousewives” Fashion Designer


The intellectual property team at JMW Solicitors LLP have advised Miss Francesca Couture, the fashion boutique that designs clothes for several of the Desperate Scousewives stars.

The IP team at JMW, has advised Miss Francesca Couture owner Francesca Kearns on various intellectual property matters including negotiations with new distributors and brand protection.

Miss Francesca Couture was set up by Liverpool based Francesca Kearns in 2010 and currently consists of one shop in Liverpool city centre. The brand make unique and exclusive clothing which have been worn by many of the Desperate Scousewives stars including model Amanda Harrington. The E4 Desperate Scousewives promotional photographs featured Miss Harrington wearing one of the label’s best sellers. TOWIE star Chloe Sims has also been seen out wearing Francesca’s bespoke creations.

Since the launch of Desperate Scousewives late last year Miss Francesca Couture has seen a major increase in orders and enquires including those who follow the brand on Twitter and Facebook.
