Spring Clean your Employment Procedures

Breakfast Briefing

24th April 2018

JMW Offices, 1 Byrom Place, Spinningfields, Manchester, M3 3HG

Spring is around the corner and the Beast from The East is no more. What better time to spring clean your employment procedures!

Sarah Evans
and Jennifer Smith from JMW's Employment team have put together some practical tips on getting your employment procedures up to date when dealing with employees.

The case studies and ideas have come from enquiries we have received from Lawshare members asking for practical advice on employment issues within their firms.

The seminar will cover the following

  • Managing Sickness Absence – the Monday/Friday sickness bug and the employee on long term sickness absence.
  • Grievances – how to deal with them.
  • Sexual Harassment in the workplace.
  • Conducting a disciplinary investigation and hearing.

Joy Kingsley, Senior Partner at JMW having had a managing role in a number of law firms for over 25 years will provide some practical tips on managing the above situations and avoiding the employment tribunal.

The seminar will be suits to those firms that do not have employment departments.
