Immediate Custody Avoided – Dangerous Driving No Insurance, Driving Otherwise than in Accordance with a Licence, and Driving Whilst Disqualified
Hojol Uddin and Jade Halliday-Mitchell successfully represented Mr. A, who was at risk of an immediate custodial sentence, following charges of Dangerous Driving, No Insurance, Driving Otherwise than in Accordance with a Licence, and Driving Whilst Disqualified.
Mr. A was facing a potential sentence of up to 1 year and 6 months in custody. Hojol and Jade worked together to collate Mr. A’s mitigation and supporting documents, whilst considering the appropriate case approach which would represent the best interests of Mr. A. Given the accumulation of offences and the deliberate decision to ignore the rules of the road, the prospect of avoiding immediate custody was low, and thus detailed preparation was paramount.
Due to the expert representation of JMW Solicitors’ Motoring Department, Mr. A was sentenced to 26-weeks imprisonment, suspended for 18-months, alongside other secondary sentences and ancillary orders, avoiding immediate custody.
