The family law team acted for the Husband in long running and complex litigation. This application was for enforcement following the Wife’s failure to transfer a property into the Husband’s name following a financial order made some 5 years earlier.

The case engaged many technical arguments and our solicitors were proactive and strategic in how they approached this unique case. As a result of the team’s expertise the court granted our client’s request for an injunction to prevent the Wife from denigrating him or any of his properties. The court also found that the Wife owed our client in the region of £2.35m.

It is unusual for costs to be awarded in the family court however, the court was absolutely clear that the Wife had to pay our client’s legal costs and directed that these should be assessed on an indemnity basis with a payment on account to be made of £80,000.
