No Further Action – Animal Welfare – Harassment

Jack Murphy and Andrew Gilligan successfully represented Ms P, who was facing allegations of harassment following a social media post regarding animal welfare concerns being posted. Upon initial instructions from the client, research was conducted into animal welfare harassment case law to understand if there were similar matters that had proceeded to court proceedings.

Following extensive conferences with the individual and specific research, Jack and Andrew decided the best course of action would be to provide a prepared statement at the interview under caution. The statement was drafted carefully, and a full denial to the allegations was put forward. On the same day, the officers contacted JMW Solicitors and confirmed that no further action was to be taken against the individual in respect of these allegations.
