No Further Action – Burglary, Theft, and Assault

Jack Murphy successfully represented Mr C, who was facing allegations of Burglary, Theft, and Assault following threats being made to his daughter by an individual. It was Mr C’s defence that he acted in self-defence as he knew the previous violent history of the alleged victim.

Upon instruction, Jack liaised with the client to ensure all instructions were up to date and the exact circumstances of the event were given to the police at the interview held previously. Following this, Jack made various representations to Cheshire Constabulary to ensure an out-of-court disposal could be given prior to Mr C being charged by the Crown Prosecution Service. Following a review of the case file and representations made by Jack, Cheshire Constabulary confirmed no further action would be taken against Mr C.
