- Acceleration
Temporary increase in the fetal heart rate of at least 15 beats per minute (bpm) above the baseline for around 10-20 seconds
- Hypoxic ischaemic encephalopathy (HIE)
Injury to the central nervous system caused by lack of oxygen.
