Cathryn joined JMW in February 2026 as an Associate in the Immigration Team within the Employment Department. She brings over eight years’ experience in UK inbound immigration law, advising both individuals and organisations on complex and time‑sensitive immigration matters.

Background
Cathryn qualified as a solicitor in 2020 at a Manchester practice before joining the specialist immigration firm Carter Thomas Solicitors. She has developed particular expertise in family-based applications and sponsorship matters.
She is an active member of the Immigration Law Practitioners’ Association (ILPA) and is on the ILPA Editorial Board. Cathryn also regularly writes for the Free Movement website.
Interests
Outside of work, Cathryn enjoys spending time with her two young children and is currently learning Polish.
