Kishen Bhimsingh

Kishen joined JMW in March 2024 as a solicitor in the Property Litigation Team.

Prior to JMW, Kishen qualified at a prominent Bedford based firm then moved to a leading Legal 500 and Tier 1 Chambers firm.

Kishen has a continually developing practice area which covers a broad range of property litigation matters, including but not limited to:

• Adverse possession (registered and unregistered land);
• Boundary disputes, rights of way and easement disputes, trespass and neighbour disputes;
• Matters under the Building Safety Act 2022;
• Matters under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 (commercial lease renewal and termination);
• Residential and commercial asset management (repossession, forfeiture, breach of covenant, deposit protection disputes, debt recovery and break notices);
• Matters under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 (section 20 consultation requirements and process);
• Matters under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1987 (section 5 notices); and
• Professional negligence.

Kishen regularly acts on behalf of private individuals, residential and commercial landlords and tenants, high net-worth individuals and national and multinational companies.

Before joining JMW, Kishen regularly represented his clients at repossession hearings in the County Court.

Kishen has an interest in sport and regularly plays squash and as part of a football team. He also enjoys discovering and trying new foods and cuisines.
